Justice for All operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. For years, countless individuals have contributed by dropping off items, sorting, repairing, packing, loading, and sharing resources with those in need. Volunteers are the lifeline enabling JFA to continue its mission of sharing and caring in Christ’s name.

Wynn Feenstra is a dedicated and indispensable volunteer at JFA. She is the kind of person who arrives ready to help, instinctively knowing what needs to be done.  Her contribution deserves immense credit and recognition, yet she would be the first to shy away from it.

Wynn, whose full name is Winifred Pollema, was born in 1947 to Simon (Sam) and Margaret Pollema. She grew up in the small town of Perkins, Iowa, alongside her six siblings, mom, and dad.  Her early education included time spent at a country school before attending Boyden-Hull High School.

Winn’s first job was in Hawarden, Iowa, where she assembled parts for Otis Radio. Eventually Win became a supervisor at Otis Radio. Win also worked for A-I and Floyd Davelaar. Winn’s attention to detail and solid work ethic went with her in her various jobs.

During an era when bowling was widely popular, Win met Neal Feenstra, a kind and charming young man. They dated and married in 1971, exemplifying a model marriage—one that still serves as an inspiring example in 2025.

The couple welcomed their first child, Michelle, into their lives. Tragically, Michelle passed away at the age of 15 due to injuries from a car accident, an unimaginable heartbreak for any parent. Despite the sorrow, Win and Neil found solace in their other children, Corwin and LaDawn. Corwin lives in Rock Valley with his wife, Joni, and their four sons, working as a contractor. LaDawn, also a resident of Rock Valley, lives with her husband, Jason Groeneweg, and their four sons. The Feenstra family gathers every other Sunday for meals with Win and Neil, celebrating the joys of family and grandparenthood.

From 1971 until the flood of 2025, Win and Neil lived near the Rock Valley trails. That summer, as floodwaters rose, they reluctantly prepared to stay a single night at Corwin’s home. In an unexpected twist, their house was destroyed by the flood, forcing them to adapt to a new reality. Yet even in the face of such loss, they never wavered in their commitment to service. For over a decade, volunteering at JFA remained a central part of their lives, even amidst the chaos.

Win embodies the patience and trust in Christ reflected in these words, accepting both the good and bad in life with the assurance that God will provide her strength.

At JFA, Winn can often be found sorting items, working upstairs, or packing boxes in the miscellaneous aisle—her understanding of the inventory surpasses any barcode system. She also plays a vital role in JFA’s annual antique auction, meticulously planning and organizing efforts to raise funds for the organization.

Win’s selfless dedication stems from her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, who has been her Lord and Savior for as long as she can remember. One of her favorite Bible verses is Isaiah 40:31: “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles.” Win embodies the patience and trust in Christ reflected in these words, accepting both the good and bad in life with the assurance that God will provide her strength.
